What is Arhden?

Arhden – Rhelos: Olam Eternal is a living, text-based fantasy MMORPG in the tradition of the classic MUDs. You explore the hex-mapped capital city of Rhelos and the lands beyond, among thousands of AI-driven townsfolk who keep their own lives, trades and memories.

Is it still in development?

Yes. Follow the Road to Launch for progress, and join our Discord for news and testing invitations. During testing, characters and progress may be reset.

How much does it cost?

• Free: one character, up to 20 hours of play each month.
• First paid character: $5 a month, or $50 a year.
• Each extra character: $2 a month, or $20 a year.

All of your characters are billed together in one charge per account. You can cancel any time. See the Terms of Service for refunds and renewals.

Can blind and low-vision players play?

Yes, fully. Arhden is built to be played with screen readers, braille displays, magnifiers and MUD clients, with positional sound planned. An accessibility discount is available; proof is reviewed privately and never kept.

Can I use macros or a MUD client?

Yes. Screen readers, MUD clients and simple macros that send commands only when you trigger them are welcome. Bots that play while you are away from the keyboard are not. Details are in the Terms of Service, Section 7.

Are the townsfolk real players?

Most townsfolk are AI-driven characters. Other adventurers you meet may be real players. Treat everyone with respect either way.

How old do I need to be?

At least 13. Players under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission.

What do you do with my information?

Only what is needed to run the game. We never sell it or use it for targeted ads. Read the Privacy Policy.
