Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Arhden, an Oklahoma business that will operate as Arhden LLC once formed ("Arhden," "we," "us"), collects when you use Arhden – Rhelos: Olam Eternal, its Game Entry, Launcher and Eternal FrontEnd programs, the website arhden.com and related services (the "Services"), and how we use and protect it. Words not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
The short version: we collect only what we need to run the Game. We do not sell your information, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and the Game has no third-party ad trackers.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: account name, email address, password (stored only in scrambled, "hashed" form; we cannot read it), and confirmation that you meet the age requirement.
- Purchases: what you bought, when, and the billing country and postal code needed for tax. Card and bank details go directly to our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
- Support and messages: anything you send us by email, in bug reports, or through our community spaces.
- Accessibility discount: if you apply, proof of eligibility is reviewed privately and then deleted. We keep only a note that the discount was approved, never the proof or any medical details.
Information created when you play
- Game data: your characters, progress, items, play time (including free-play hours used), and actions in the world.
- Chat and commands: what you type in the Game, including chat with other players and conversations with AI-driven characters.
- Technical data: IP address, device and operating system type, program version, sign-in times, and crash or error reports.
The website
arhden.com is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes basic connection data (such as IP address) to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, and may set strictly necessary security cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly visitor statistics, we will list them here.
2. How we use it
- to create and run your account and characters, and sign you in securely;
- to process payments, renewals and refunds, and keep records required for tax and accounting;
- to keep the Game safe and fair: detecting cheating, fraud and abuse, and enforcing the Terms;
- to answer support requests and send service messages (renewal reminders, security alerts, changes to our terms);
- to fix bugs, balance the Game and improve it, including improving how AI-driven characters respond (see Section 4); and
- to send news or offers only if you choose to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
For players in the EU and UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running your account and the Game), our legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, improving the Game), legal obligations (tax records), and your consent (marketing email), which you may withdraw at any time.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the Services under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for us: hosting and network security (such as Cloudflare), email (Google Workspace), payment processing, and providers of the AI technology behind some in-game characters;
- Other players, who see your character names, descriptions and what you say in public chat;
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety, prevent fraud, or defend our rights; and
- A successor, such as Arhden LLC when it is formed, or a buyer of the Game, who must honor this policy.
4. AI-driven characters
Many characters in the Game are driven by artificial intelligence. What you say to them is processed to generate their replies, and logs of these conversations may be reviewed by us and used to improve the Game. Where we use an outside AI provider, we choose settings that stop the provider from using your conversations to train its own products, wherever the provider offers that. Please do not share real-world personal information with in-game characters.
5. How long we keep it
- Account and game data: while your account is open. After you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize it within 30 days, except as below.
- Chat and command logs: usually up to 12 months, longer only when needed for an open investigation or enforcement.
- Payment and tax records: as long as the law requires, usually up to 7 years.
- Records of bans: kept as long as needed to prevent banned players from returning.
6. How we protect it
Passwords are hashed, connections to our servers are encrypted, and access to player data is limited to people who need it to run the Game. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
7. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- see the personal information we hold about you, or get a copy in a portable format;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your account and personal information (some records may be kept as described in Section 5); and
- stop marketing email.
Residents of the EU, UK and some U.S. states (such as California) have these rights by law, and may also object to or restrict certain uses and complain to their local data protection authority. Email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request." We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and answer within 30 days (45 where state law allows). We will never treat you differently for using your privacy rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
8. Children
The Services are not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it. Parents who believe their child has given us information can contact us to have it removed. Players aged 13 to 17 need a parent's or guardian's permission to use the Services.
9. International players
We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States and wherever our service providers operate. When information about players in the EU or UK is transferred, we rely on approved safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell you by email and on the sign-in screen before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
11. Contact
Privacy questions and requests: [email protected] (subject "Privacy Request").
